Filter press filter plate filter cloth system

Generally speaking, there are four types of filter plates in a set of diaphragm filter press, namely head plate, tail plate, membrane plate and cavity plate. The filter cloth will also correspond to the filter plate into the above four types. The arrangement of the filter plates is as follows:

Head Plate > (Membrane Plate + Chamber Plate)*n > Membrane Plate > End Plate.

According to different filter media, operating pressure and temperature, the material selection of filter plate and filter cloth will be different. Under the process conditions of oil separation, in addition to the usual pressure expansion and non-permeability, it must also be oil-resistant and food-grade. The diaphragm material used for palm oil pressure filtration can usually be selected: nitrile rubber (NBR), polypropylene (PP), thermoplastic rubber (TPE).

The inner space of the membrane plate can be used to input the extrusion medium to make the “membrane” bulge. The extrusion medium can be fractionated liquid oil, or other media such as water and compressed air. Usually, fractionated liquid oil products are used as the extrusion medium. oil to avoid product contamination caused by membrane perforation.

Diaphragms have different specifications depending on the pressure they are subjected to. Ordinary palm oil fractionation extrusion pressure is 0.7~0.8Mpa, and the selected film needs to be resistant to 1.5Mpa. Other specifications such as 3Mpa film are used for the fractionation of palm kernel oil and the production of special oils.
